WLAN/Eduroam

🔗
◆ Operational
TU Dresden participates in the roaming project of the DFN (German Research Network; Internet provider for German universities). This means that employees, students and guests whose universities also participate in DFN roaming can access the eduroam WLAN at TU Dresden. Conversely, TUD members can also use eduroam on site at the locations of other participating universities. To ensure that mobile devices can securely log on to eduroam at all participating locations, we recommend setting up eduroam using the CAT tool in conjunction with the geteduroam app. Both are provided by the Europe-wide eduroam network. A guest WLAN is operated alongside the eduroam WLAN. This network allows external users who do not have a ZIH login to access the internet via a WLAN connection. Any TU Dresden employee can provide such a WLAN guest account for external users on a temporary basis (request in the self-service portal). Wi-Fi guest accounts can be ordered for conferences via the Service Desk. 15 entries, newest to oldest
