Purchase of software

◆ Operational TU Dresden strives to purchase software at favourable prices by bundling licences and concluding framework, volume licence, campus and state agreements. For these products, the ZIH centrally handles contractual matters with the relevant companies, as well as licence renewals and the provision of software/updates. These licence agreements are usually pre-financed by the ZIH. The licence fees are allocated to the structural units according to the scope of use via cost allocation. You will receive support with software orders, licence management and renewal. You can also obtain advice on these topics. In addition, we provide free licences for, among other things, Microsoft products from the state contract (Windows, Office 365), virus protection programmes (Sophos) and file encryption (BoxCryptor).
